Since suffering his lone setback in 2009, Team Fight to Walk’s Sid “The Messenger” El Harrak’s struggled mightily to find a dance partner. In the last 2 1/2 years, he’s fought just three times, going undefeated in three bouts, but bouts falling apart has been the unfortunate story as of late.
The California based Moroccan had multiple bouts scheduled that never took place for one reason or another. Luckily, he’ll have the chance to make a major statement when he battles contender Jesus Soto Karass Saturday, May 26 at Del La Sol Casino in Tuscon, AZ. Soto Karass, whose shared the squared circle with many top fighters, is coming off a TKO defeat against rising star Gabriel Rosado in January and has a professional record of 24-7-3 with 16 KO’s. The Los Angeles based Mexican has an exciting style and is yet to be in a bad fight.
El Harrak, 10-1-1 (5 KO’s), is taking a step up in competition and will have to be on his A game to emerge victorious. In his most recent bout in September 2011, El Harrak battled to a draw with Tony Hirsch.
I know and it takes one chance and opportunity to make a difference,” El Harrak said of the bout. “I Wish I had a little more time to prepare but I’ll be fine (since I’m training) constantly.”
The El Harrak-Soto Karass bout is the main event on a card that will be aired on TV Azteca.
