Chicago’s Carl McNickles upset Team Fight to Walk’s Danny “Little Mac” McDermott Saturday evening at Madison Square Garden’s WaMu Theater. With 5,000 screaming Irish fans on hand, McDermott decked McNickles in the second, but was unable to finish him off. McDermott and McNickles fought at a good pace throughout the contest, with the latter earning a majority decision.
Scores were 57-55 twice and 56-56.
McNickles, of Chicago, IL, improves his record to 8-3 with 6 KO’s. McDermott, a popular Jersey City native, is now 9-4-2 with 4 knockouts.
